Reset the game

I'm an amateur philosopher and I believe that our society totally went off the rails since logic was and still is growingly set aside for fables and since technology started to push our brainpower back instead of forward.
Our evolved brain is the one thing humanity excels in when compared to the other species on this planet and we keep taking it for granted.

I'm not saying a million people have to die in order to restore what is broken, but we definitely need something BIG which will shake us all awake from this goalless dream slowly but steadily shambling towards our demise as a species.
